Family Integrated
Bible Fellowship is family integrated. We
believe with conviction that it is the responsibility of the parents to
train up their children in the ways of God and it is not the job of
church programs to perform this God-given task. We are attempting,
by God’s grace, to equip parents to do this job. We affirm the
headship of the father in the home in everything that we do and attempt
to make it clear that the God-given authority resides with him.
The father administers communion to his family during our home church
gatherings, our fathers deliver the Word of God, and we encourage all of
our fathers to perform family devotions and discipleship with their
children.
The children sit and worship with their parents during our gatherings.
We do perform a children's message when we meet at MCS where the
children in attendance come forward and hear a message that is more at
their level. Once complete, we offer activity worksheets that are
related to the message that the children can work on during the
remainder of the time that we share together. Most of the parents
enjoy this message as well and encourage their children to participate
in this activity. However, some of the children even sit with their
parents during the children's message. That is fine. We do
not in any way usurp the authority of the parents over their children.
