Mansfield Bible Fellowship

Christ-Centered, Family-Integrated

About

Bible Fellowship meets every Sunday morning at 10:30am at Mansfield Christian School (MCS).  We also meet in small home gatherings.  Please check the Small Groups page for more information.

MCS is located at 500 Logan Road in Mansfield, Ohio and the chapel is in the far-west wing of the school.  If you park in the front (left most parking-lot when facing the front of the school) there are two-sets of double doors that will be open around 10:00am.  There is always someone (usually many people) out front to greet the folks coming in and I am sure someone could help you find our gathering.

The Lord is too rich to be fully explained by one person and so the preaching / teaching of the Word of God is handled in an "open-pulpit" type of format that is taught in 1 Corinthians 14:26-33

26How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. 27If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. 28But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. 29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. 30If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace. 31For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. 32And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. 33For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

Everyone has something to offer the body of Christ and everyone has gifts that we do not want to go to waste.  We have 4 people that rotate the playing of the piano during worship.  We allow room for multiple individuals to teach/preach.  Some preach full blown “sermons”, some just give short testimonies, some bring a song, and so on.  The point is that everyone participates as they are moved by the Spirit of God to do so.  But it must also be understood that everyone must operate under authority as stated in 1 Corinthians 11:3.

3But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

It is awesome to see God work in this type of environment when everyone is obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit!

We follow the New Testament pattern of a Biblical eldership as our form of church government.  We currently have three elders whose job is not to rule or control the fellowship but simply oversee and serve.  We believe in the priesthood of every believer and feel it is the job of the church gathering to equip people for ministry outside of the 4-walls of the church.  The elders attempt to protect the flock from harmful doctrine and encourage participation and service by all by setting forth an example of servant-leadership.

We would love to have you and your family visit if you feel the Lord is leading you in that direction.  If you would like to talk more please feel free to check out the Contact section of this web-site.
